Google releases January security patch for Nexus and Pixel devices

As expected, Google has just announced that a new Android 7.1.1 Nougat update that contains the January security patch. The search giant also confirmed the update is now pushed OTA (over the air) to all compatible Nexus and Pixel devices. However, the factory images for all devices have already been released, so if you don't want to wait for the OTA, you can download and flash the corresponding factory image on your phone. The January security update is available for the following devices: Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, Nexus Player, Nexus 9 (Wi-Fi), Pixel, Pixel XL, and Pixel C.
