Windows 10 May 2020 Update Is Ready. What Happens Next?

Microsoft has recently shipped the final build of Windows 10 May 2020 Update, also referred to as version 2004, to insiders in the Release Preview ring.

In other words, the work on the May update is now complete, and the rollout to the Release Preview ring is just the last step before Microsoft begins pushing the new feature update to production devices.

So now that the May 2020 Update is available for the Release Preview, what’s going to happen next?

First and foremost, we should expect the company to ship some cumulative updates to Release Preview ring insiders before the go-ahead for production devices is given. In other words, the company will continue to fine-tune the experience with this new feature update before everyone gets their hands on the final build.
