Why is my "OK Google" Not Working?
The "Ok Google" is a Google Assistant Command which is an artificial intelligence-powered virtual assistant developed by the popular search giant, Google that is primarily available on mobile and smart home devices, this feature is already preloaded with all the latest android smartphone.But the problem here is some Android users have found that the feature has just left them repeating the phrase "Ok Google" over and over again into an unresponsive phone, many are confused why is google not working on my phone? even this problem faces some of my readers, majorly this problem occurs in Samsung Galaxy S8, Samsung Galaxy S9, Samsung Galaxy S10, Pixel 2, Pixel 3, even ok google not working android auto, repeatedly asking how to fix this problem? some even facing problems when screen off.

How to Fix "Ok Google" not working?
There are a few simple fixes you can try that should get the voice recognition software working.
These are fixes for "Ok Google" not working problem:
- Check the microphone on your device.
- Force stop and Clear Cache.
- Check your language settings.
- Disable S Voice or Bixby [Samsung users]
- Check if the Internet is connected or not.
#Fix-1) Check the microphone on your device
Sometimes even a small microphone will be the reason for not working your google assistant, As a voice-based system, Google Assistant relies on uninterrupted access to your smartphone's microphone. When you open the Google app, the microphone icon on the right-hand side of the search bar should appear bold, with fully-formed lines. If it has a dotted line, you may have a problem with your microphone.
This may be caused by debris in the small microphone hole often found next to the charging port – have a careful blow around with a safety pin or similar to clear it out and you'll often fix the problem. If that doesn't work, check the microphone settings within the Google app.

#Fix-2) Force stop and Clear Cache
Try to Force stop and clear cache. sometimes an app cache also makes the app to stop working, It could be due to a newer update or the app itself might have bugs.
If the Google app is not responding, try;
To force stop and clear cache Google App;
- Go to Settings.
- Go to Apps or Application Manager(in some).
- Search Google App in the downloaded section and click on it.
- Select Force Stop.

#Fix-3) Check your language settings.
If Google Assistant isn't responding to you, maybe it is because you're speaking the wrong language. US English will be the default language for many users, but it's still worth checking in the Settings menu and altering as required.
To do this, just - Go to the Google app and then its main menu.
- Click on Settings.
- Select Voice (under Search), and then select the appropriate language(s) from the Voice menu.

#Fix-4) Disable S Voice or Bixby [Samsung users]
This fix is mainly for Samsung users only, sometimes Bixby might be interfering with the working of the Google Assistant. Classic Samsung!
Therefore, you will first have to disable the Bixby wake-up voice in order to use Ok Google on your Samsung smartphone. And given the obstinate nature of Samsung, it’s best to just turn off everything remotely termed as Bixby or S voice on your Samsung smartphone.
To Disable S Voice or Bixby;
Tap and hold on an empty section of your home screen, and then swipe right to reach the leftmost panel, which is Bixby Home.
To get rid of it, toggle the button up top to the off position.
#Fix-5) Check if the Internet is connected or not
If all the above fixes are not working? then you must check if your phone is connected to the Internet or not? This is personally faced by me! sometimes when you are not connected to the internet, and just we try to open google assistant and making any commands this will not works, google assistant will works only if your phone is connected to the internet.
