Current state of my GTK based GUI for the CADET subsystem of GNUnet

This is far from a proper release but I wanted to share the current state of this little project. Please feel free to give advice for functionality or design (except swapping to Qt... pls). ^^'

So this is a chat client using the completely decentralized approach of GNUnet. It uses GTK3 and libhandy to allow convergence which looks pretty clean but looks also pretty empty at the moment. But you get the idea if you know other applications using libhandy. Thanks to GNUnet every channel is end-to-end encrypted and users can authenticate via their peer-id.

I have implemented it working in two processes (by forking) communicating with a pipe. So GTK and GNUnet is mostly separate and the GUI part could be replaced by any other GUI-API. Everything is written in C so nobody has to get through some weird C++ code to add something. Everything is published on gitlab under GPL3 by the way: https://gitlab.com/TheJackiMonster/cadet-gtk

You can also communicate with the official gnunet-cadet application from terminal because it is not depending on some JSON or anything. However I also added support for more complex messages using JSON structures with the Jansson library. This allows creating and joining group-chats for example.

At the moment you can only chat with another peer if you both are running the app. But you can use multiple ports for completely separate channels at the same time. I'm planning to add file-transfer next and allow to disabling/enabling being able to be found via "search for contact" (because of privacy reasons disabled by default of course ^^').

So I'm pretty excited for the future of this myself since I'm sick of using thousands of passwords (even with manager) and registration for all those services. The target is getting this on the upcoming mobile devices running GNU/Linux without too much performance/battery concerns. (I know peer-to-peer can have impacts there.. ^^')

PS: I have to say this. If you don't know the whole GNUnet-project yet, please check it out. Their functionality and especially their documentation is awesome. I kind of love this project since a few months... also I think Purism did a great job with libhandy so far.
