There is one feature which I love in Windows 10 is the index(ing) of specific folders and files. See here --> https://helpdeskgeek.com/windows-7/windows-7-file-search-indexing-options/
You can designate windows to index say your Documents folders and when you press the WIN key and look for the file of interest, it's there on the start menu.
I have many PDF files that is indexed regularly. I can bring up the PDF files straight away without going through the explorer.
Is there anything similar on Linux. I'm on the Mint Linux (Cinnamon DE) distro currently ...
