A (non-support) question for the Gnome 3 users

A bit of background - I'm looking to start a new blog in the next couple of months geared towards new users and people who are considering trying Linux out. I like to think of myself as distro agnostic (I hop between Debian and Red Hat based distros from install to install and have a "right tool for the job" mentality when advising others). As such, I'd like to be agnostic when I write the "What DE?" article. The problem is, I've used Gnome 3 a few times over the years and I don't have a single good word of my own to say about it. Can you guys help me out? I'd like to know what its users see in it so I can talk up its plus points in good faith.
