I was excited to use Linux to see why so many developers use it and stuff. Installed Linux Mint, discovered that there is no Bluetooth receiving function until you install Blueman and some other shit from the manager...the fuck? I changed my mind 180 degrees here.
I then tried to install something and got hit by error messages that require me to install some packages before it.
These changed my opinion completely, on top of the ugly desktop theme that I tried to change a time and time again and had to go through loops to do that. Not to mention the fucking horrible performance(The heck? I thought Linux was supposed to be quicker than Windows and lightweight) and the time required to open anything at all. Windows 10 was 10x times faster than whatever the shit is this.
Then I needed to install some programs, then figured they are not compatible so I had to install Wine which gave me more error messages then when it finally worked they were slow and looked so damn weird(Which is expected because Wine is just a port for windows applications on Linux but still jesus)
And my network started disconnecting and I had to connect it through another way every single time I shut down the computer.
All this, in my first hour after using it. Never looked back, installed Windows 10 then my development tools(VSC, git, Node...etc) and enjoyed everything out of the box.
I heard about minimalist but once you fucking need 2 freaking packages to install a receive button so that you receive stuff in Bluetooth then that's not minimalist, that's building your own damn OS and I don't need that in my life(I had enough installing packages for my projects, I don't need more trouble in my life)
I honestly think people who use Linux are people who are looking to make it harder for them and playing it "special" because there is nothing that exists in Linux and doesn't in Windows.
