Linux Kernel 3.11.6 Size Checker drivers/uio/uio.c uio_mmap_physical memory corruption

A vulnerability was found in Linux Kernel 3.11.6 (Operating System). It has been declared as critical. This vulnerability affects the function uio_mmap_physical of the file drivers/uio/uio.c of the component Size Checker. Applying the patch Fix a few incorrectly checked [io_]remap_pfn_range() calls is able to eliminate this problem. The bugfix is ready for download at git.kernel.org. A possible mitigation has been published immediately after the disclosure of the vulnerability.
