I don't know if this is the right place to ask about all this, point me to w better place if so. Twice this year I've wiped my drive and gave Linux a shot. I used a partition as to be able to return to windows 10 if needed though. The first time I tried Ubuntu, as it was the most popular. Within the first day of using a I realized it didn't support iCUE (I have a commander pro fan hub) so I can't use that anymore. Then I couldn't find my Logitech G hub software being supported anywhere, so I can't program my buttons. RGB fusion also has no support, however I am aware of open RGB. Basically, just trying to set up my desktop riddled me with wall after wall. I tried a few months later on mint, only to have the same obstacles alongside graphic drivers being broken. I was locked in at 768p resolution at 60hz. (I'm running a 3090 with a 4k 120hz monitor here)
So my question is, am I doing something wrong? Is there a distro or workaround more suited to installing these apps? My primary focus is playing games but I'd like to be able to use at least half the apps I could before. With windows 11's upcoming changes that I'm personally not fond of, it's made me more inclined to try a third time, but I know I'll hit the same issues unless I go in with more information first. Please note, you can probably tell, no, I'm not an advanced user and I don't just know what to type into a terminal like second nature. I see many foxes for different issues being "you can solve this with the terminal" but no explanation.
