Blizzard has disabled Wrecking Ball in the Overwatch 2 beta following the discovery of an exploit that allowed players to use the hero to crash people's games.
Specifically, players could crash the game of anyone connected to the server by grappling the floor directly underneath Wrecking Ball while midair and in Roll mode.
Right now, it's unclear when Blizzard will develop a fix for the issue and make Wrecking Ball playable again.


Overwatch 2 developer Blizzard has disabled the popular tank hero Wrecking Ball after an exploit was discovered in the Overwatch 2 beta that allowed players to crash the game client of everyone connected to the server. This means that, until Blizzard develops and deploys a fix for this issue, Wrecking Ball will not be available in the Overwatch 2 beta's Quick Play, Skirmish, Deathmatch, or Training modes. Wrecking Ball remains playable on the live Overwatch client, however.
