๐ Unsatisfactory software updates through the usual channels.

I first noticed this issue when I found out that the version of keepassxc on the official Linux mint repo was several versions out of date, even the flatpack version was out of date, although not quite as bad. However I understood that, especially for an official repo, you may want a proven stable and working version, also, this was easily remedied with the official Ubuntu PPA from the KeePass website.
What really pissed me off and what inspired this post is when I found out that the flatpack version of ungoogled chromium I was using was 99.0.4844.51, which is 1 update prior to an update that fixed a recent major vulnerability. Considering the update that fixes the vulnerability is over a month old now, especially for such a commonly targeted program, this is unacceptable in my eyes. Making matters worse, the only alternate source (other than manually compiling the program) I could find was from opensuse, which was still stuck on version 95.
I'm not an experience Linux user, and perhaps this is just an issue with a few packages, but it seems to me that the typical ways of obtaining Linux packages are entirely insufficient.
