As the title says, looking for distro suggestions for an old macbook air that won't run os x any more.

Specs are 8GB RAM, 250GB Disk, 1400x900 display.

I already run Pop OS! on my new Dell laptop, and debian bullseye on my desktop, so looking for something maybe a bit more esoteric that will run nicely on this machine.

Maybe Arch? Just so I can say "I run Arch, BTW".

Maybe one of the new FreeBSD desktop variants?

Preferably not something with snap (so no ubuntu).

Maybe something easy to use so I can give it to my wife.
