Bash/Zsh virtual environment?

I have a use case where I want to have one/many virtual shell environments for Bash or ZSH. Currently I only have one home folder and all my settings are in ~ or ~/.config. I would like to have virtual copies of my home folder with separated XDG_COMFIG_HOME. Is there something like that available? I tried googling but nothing came up. I know I can create another user and su to that user but that means permissions are not my user.
