I have an HP notebook that's at least 8, maybe 10 years old. It's slow. I don't use it for anything but would like to make it useful again. I was thinking about installing Linux but the more I looked the more confused I got about where to start and how to configure it. I'm reasonably tech savvy, I built my desktop computer 5 years ago and am active in programming. What's the best way to go about putting Linux on my old notebook?
