Linux not recognizing new hard drive for fresh install

Bought a new Western Digital Red Plus 4 TB hard 3.5" Drive.

Goal: Run only Plex media server on Linux

Troubleshooting Performed

​

+Tried both Linux Ubuntu and Mint Latest versions

+Took back the hard drive and bought the same one

+Moved the SATA connector on the motherboard

+Tries with another new SATA connector

+Changed the bios from ACHI to IDE and back

+Tried both with and without the 'double cable' - power and sata cable.
