Converting to a Linux user.

So, guys I am fed up of how Windows looks especially the Win11 update. And I was thinking of dual booting with a linux distro which will let me customise how it all looks. Can y'all suggest me a good not too complicated distro (tbh I am willing to accept difficult ones if it's the only way)

I have some experience with the terminal. Also I am learning about Operating Systems in my Comp. Sci Course, so it will help.
