Some Windows 10 Laptops Hitting Black Screen Bug in Creators Update

The Windows 10 Creators Update is now rolling out to users across the world, with the process taking place in stages, but it appears that a number of devices are hitting an unexpected bug after installing it.

Microsoft has confirmed that three different Dell models encounter a problem that prevents them from booting to the desktop after installing the Creators Update and trying to wake from sleep.

The models in question are the Alienware 17 R4, the Precision M7710, and the Precision M6800, according to Microsoft, though some other laptops might be impacted as well.

Update drivers to latest version

The software giant says that a forced reboot is needed to return to a working state, but the bug will be experienced again when trying to wake from sleep at a later time.
