Linux is not for amateurs

bought windows 11 laptop

installed ubuntu mate on it so it runs faster

only problem, linux works a little differently than windows: it doesn’t “get what you mean” ie you have to figure out how to tell it exactly what you want

nothing works the way u expect etc. however, there are lots of linux forums full of how to fix the same problem you’re having

In general I think installing linux on a slow PC instead of buying a new PC is a horrible idea if you’re not a tech person. you’re definitely better off troubleshooting windows than ubuntu mate imo

do not be like me and install faster linux os without creating windows 11 recovery drive first
