OnePlus 5 to Feature Snapdragon 835 and Improved Touch Latency

OnePlus 5 is one of the most anticipated smartphones to arrive this summer and OnePlus continues to build up the hype around the new device. OnePlus’ Pete Lau has just confirmed that the smartphone will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 platform.

Both OnePlus and Qualcomm have confirmed that the upcoming OnePlus 5 smartphone will come with the latest Snapdragon 835 platform, featured in a number of flagship devices which were launched this year, including the Samsung Galaxy S8 and HTC U11.

It’s not surprising that OnePlus 5 will use this powerful chipset, as rumors started circulating earlier this year. In its blog post, Pete Lau referred to the OnePlus 5 as “a smartphone with flawlessly smooth performance”.
