Strawberry music player not refreshing smart playlist when new files have been placed in the directory

I am encountering a frustrating issue that I thought would be solved by moving from Clementine to Strawberry: - I have pointed Strawberry to my music directory. I've also checked the "Update the collection when Strawberry starts" and "Monitor the collection for changes" in the settings. - I've created a smart playlist to include songs with "2022" in the year tag. This works the first time I create the smart playlist, shows all 196 songs. - But then I downloaded, modded the year tags, for 5 songs, and copied them over to my 2022 year (a sub directory inside the root folder of my library - Those songs do not show up in the smart playlist, even after a restart of Strawberry

Anyone know what might be going on?
