Galaxy Note 8 with Dual 13MP Camera to Arrive in Mid-August

Samsung is working on a new flagship smartphone, the successor to last year’s disastrous Galaxy Note 7, which was discontinued soon after its release. A new report reveals that the Galaxy Note 8 could be announced ahead of IFA, in mid-August.

The Galaxy Note 8 was previously thought to arrive a day before or even during the upcoming IFA event in Berlin, but it seems that Samsung might plan to announce the smartphone earlier. An earlier release date would allow Samsung to get a head start before Apple unveils its OLED iPhone 8.

In addition, a mid-August unveil would be in line with last year’s official announcement of the Galaxy Note 7, which arrived on August 19, but was later discontinued.
