Intel Rolls Out BIOS 0047 and 0059 for Several of Its NUC Kits - Update Now

Intel has rolled out two new BIOS updates targeted at some of its NUC Kits, namely version 0059 for the DN2820FYKH device, as well as version 0047 for NUC7i3BNK, NUC7i5BNK, NUC7i5BNH, NUC7i5BNHX1, NUC7i7BNH, NUC7i7BNHX1, NUC7i3BNH, and NUC7i3BNHX1 models.

Regarding changes, the 0059 update adds certain security enhancements, corrects BIOS hotkeys behavior during POST, fixes issues with the event log and mouse/keyboard connectivity, and adds a warning message when trying to flash an incompatible BIOS.

In addition to that, the DN2820FYKH NUC Kit also receives fixes for the event where a USB keyboard or mouse couldn’t wake up the system from the S5 sleep state.

As for the 0047 version, this package updates the FW_VERSION_GUID for Windows update, the Management Engine (ME) to 11.6.27.3264, the Micro Code (fixes Hyper-Threading issue), and the EC to 8.2 (fixes LED effect for low brightness slow fade mode).
