Pecunia is a comprehensive online banking application for the German HBCI (Home Banking Computer Interface) banking system. It is Open Source (GPL), so anyone can access the source code, browse or search it and develop the application further.

Pecunia is based on the proven Open-Source and HBCI library hbci4java, which provides high-level security against standard attacks, offering a security standard that far surpasses browser-based online banking. Pecunia incorporates basic configurations for major online banking functions such as account transactions, fund transfers, category management, and reporting for account development and categories. Pecunia is donationware; it can be used without charge, but users are encouraged to make a small contribution to help cover the costs (e.g., hosting).

• This version of Pecunia determines sales using CAMT format instead of the legacy MT940 format. During the changeover, there may be temporary double sales because the banks enter slightly different information in the two formats. You can switch on the manual sales check in the settings so that after each sales call-up a list of sales appears with the result of the duplicate check, which you can then change.
