as well as on a lenovo y510p i7-4700mq 2.4ghz-3.4ghz with 8 gb of ram
im trying to resize an exfat partition on a external drive. ive tried disks as well as gparted, both have failed me or i have failed them depending on how you look at it. i have exfat-fuse and exfat-progs already installed, also gparted live didn't work either in case thats the suggestion ..... windows disk management can handle this task, but i would like to eventually be windows free so this is still problematic
part 2 on my journey to resize a exfat partition i tried using gparted live from a usb stick, however for some odd reason neither of my linux machines was able to flash or burn the image to the jump drive. i tried both usb writer, as well as etcher, they both completed but were not usable. Now on my windows laptop i can flash using rufus flawlessly ....... yes yes yes i know this is not windows so things are going to be different, and i need to change how i think to do similar tasks on linux, but i know for a fact that that you can flash a usb stick on lunux ......... sorry for rambling on im new to linux and dont have much experience asking for help in forums, i hope this is enough information to atleast get pointed in the right direction
thanks in advance -mike
