In terms of suitable devices, the current update is targeted at the 7th-gen Kindle, Kindle Voyage, and Kindle Paperwhite models, Amazon’s 8th Generation Kindle and Kindle Oasis, as well as the 6th Generation Kindle Paperwhite tablets.
Since no detailed changelog is available, the only way to find out what the changes are is to save and apply the present firmware version on your tablet. Still, make sure the currently installed firmware isn’t either newer or matching this release (Home > Menu > Settings > Menu > Device Info).
If all is OK, get the appropriate .bin file for your device model on your computer, connect the tablet to it using a USB cable, navigate to the root directory of the Kindle’s internal storage, and copy the downloaded firmware file there.
