New 4-Inch iPhone Launching in August - Report

File this in the “I’ll eat my shoe if it really happens” category, but a new report claims that Apple is getting ready to unveil the second-generation iPhone SE at an event in August.

French website iGeneration writes that Apple plans to use an event next month to take the wraps off a new 4-inch device, though the company is expected to actually unveil the new iPhone 7s, 7s Plus, and iPhone 8 in September.

But according to this report, the debut of the new-generation models would only take place in October due to production delays, and this is why Apple plans to buy more time with a new iPhone SE.
