Google Home to Get an Aussie Accent on July 20, Launches in Germany on August 8

Google announced that its Google Home personal voice-controlled speaker powered by the Google Assistant intelligent personal assistant would soon launch in Australia and Germany.

On Thursday, July 20, Google Home will get an update that will activate a cute Aussie accent for Aussies, allowing them to manage their everyday tasks, turn up the music, get answers for all sort of questions, as well as to control the smart lights in their home or office with a simple "Ok Google."

Also tomorrow, Google is launching its Google Wifi program in Australia to give users seamless Internet coverage at home. According to Google, Google Home's Google Assistant will be able to speak and understand the Australian accent, so if you have such a device in your home, don't forget to update it.
