I've been using Arch for almost a year. I feel lonely.

Hi everyone, I wanted to share something that's been on my mind and see if anyone else has had a similar experience.

About 11 months ago, I made the switch to Arch Linux. It was a move I was really proud of – mastering the installation, getting to know the ins and outs of a new OS, really diving deep into what I love about technology. Arch is the first and the only distro I ever put my hands on, and I'm happy to have skipped the easing into Linux as an OS that a lot of folk go through.

Recently, I've started to notice something odd. Ever since I switched to Arch, it seems like my social circle is diminishing. It's like there's this gradual, but noticeable change in my interactions. I've always been a bit of a tech enthusiast, but it's like now, I'm finding myself more and more out of sync with my friends. They seem less interested in what I have to say, especially when it comes to tech.

I can't help but wonder, is it the Arch Linux? Is there something about using this particular distribution that's affecting my social life? Has anyone else experienced this after diving deep into Debian or Ubuntu? Or is it exclusively a consequence of going straight into Arch?
