The easiest way to create code images

While it’s best to use the actual code text in tech blogs, some platforms don’t natively support syntax highlighting. The best solution in this case is to use pre-highlighted images.

There are plenty of tools that let you do this easily, but I like to do things with as little effort as possible. In my opinion, using

Creating code images with the ray.so extension

Search for ray.so and install it.

Selecting that will open ray.so with your highlighted code! You can edit the code and export the image once you’re satisfied with the result.
