Okay, so I've asked this question before in different places and can't find an answer, so I'm posting it here.
First, some context:
Calamares is a very popular installer for Linux distros. Imo, they make changing fstab.conf and mount.conf really, really easy under /etc/calamares/modules when you're in the Live CD/USB environment just before you decide to install whatever distro you're installing.
Those two Calamares config files hold the keys for a better and more customized Btrfs experience. They are also extremely convenient. Choosing your subvolume layouts and then picking your Btrfs options BEFORE installing the system is a godsend for me. Really great. Just fantastic.
BUUUUT....
When I'm looking at Ubuntu/based distros that use the Ubiquity installer, I can't seem to find the config files Ubiquity uses for Btrfs. I don't know where to look and I'm extremely frustrated. Google gave me scarce answers (I must be asking Mr. Google wrong???).
Does anyone know where these config files are for the Ubiquity installer? Specifically, the ones pertaining to Btrfs?
I really want to use KDE Neon. But without this tweaking to install Btrfs the way I like, I'm locked out of using KDE Neon. I refuse to use rolling/semi-rolling distros without my properly configured Btrfs and my trusty Snapper/Timeshift.
Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Please let me know if I need to clarify anything.
