Black screen after switching to dedicated GPU with envycontrol

I was experiencing low fps in some games and 3d editors, and I thought that my system uses the GPU of my processor, so I've switched the mode to dedicated GPU through envycontrol -s Nvidia. Shortly after applying the settings it required a reboot, and after choosing the os in boot menu and a few seconds of loading I get just a black screen, nothing else. I guess I could solve this by switching envycontrol to hybrid mode, but I don't know how can I even access terminal when the screen is black
