I'm a computer enginnering college student.I'm learning different programming languages and until 1 year ago I only used windows .It was pretty bad to be honest and I didn't want to install linux in dual boot because I had the impression that it would be very hard to get used to it so I installed wsl.I used vs code with wsl for a few months but now I need linux for college . On my home pc I tried other distributions such as fedora , ubuntu and pop os but I decided to stick with linux mint because fedora is controlled by red hat, ubuntu has that update with snap as package manager and about pop os I can say that I didn't really like it.Linux mint seemed to be the right choice being recommended by so many people. So I made a bootable stick with linux mint using Balena etcher for dual boot on my laptop with which I'm going to go to college.The laptop that I have is a Lenovo Legion 5 Pro .I have a ryzen 7 processor with integrated gpu, but I also have a dedicated video card: RTX 4060.From windows I have disabled fast start up and from bios I have disabled secure boot.Of course that I made another 120 gb windows partition that I left unallocated to install linux on it and I have disabled secure boot from BIOS and I selected the usb as the first boot option.I thought that I had done everything right and there was nothing to go wrong.When I selected the first option to install linux mint the laptop rebooted and I couldn't get into linux proper.I thought it was from the integrated video card so I pressed the e key and put nomodeset into the command lines.I still couldn't get into linux and kept getting this error (I'll attach a picture).
Everytime when i try to install linux mint or any other distro my laptop just restarts.I discovered that I can get into linux tho but only when I shut down the laptop and directly start linux .I mean not after restarting from windows or something like that. So I thought there must be a link between linux and microsoft that won't let me enter linux but I don't know what because I looked in the BIOS and I have nothing turned on that is related to microsoft .I even reset all the secure boot keys .I don't know what I should do .I tried with the same usb stick to install linux mint on my home pc and it worked without problems.I have updated my bios to the latest version but nothing changed.Please help
