I have a dell g16 with a 13900hx and rtx 4070 and use it for university. It's battery only lasted around an hour under normal browsing and its heavy charger just made things worse. I tried a few different ways to improve battery life, but they were pretty small improvements.

I decided to dualboot linux mint and disable a few of my cores as I think that that's the main problem, because the 84wh battery should be good. I now have 2.5 hours of battery life just by disabling half of my cores. I only use linux when away and mostly use my ms office programs though my browser. I still want to disable my power cores instead of the E cores as that should help even more and undervolt them and the gpu.

I tried disabling cores on windows, but that just lead to unfixable crashes :0
