Will buy a separate SSD to setup Ubuntu Linux in paralel to my Win.

I already have existing M.2s that have photos and games on them, will I be able to simply use those on Ubuntu as well no hassle? Like bootup Linux OS and see that drives are recognized and can use the game files and photos etc.?

Assume it would be so, but could not find an answer for this on the net, dunno whether the phrasing is hard to define…
