Hello!
Here I am a former Linux fan in the years 1995/1998. When it was necessary to compile the Linux kernel and wait almost half a day to download the latest version from a University FTP....
In short, with the arrival of my wife, the children, a demanding job, the computer dedicated to Linux gathered dust and eventually the trash. 30 years later I finally have time to get back to it!! All this has evolved and it's so much the better. I tried different distros for fun (ubuntu, Debian, Fedora). My first disappointment compared to 30 years ago is that before during installation I could choose which packages (general group and/or individual) to install or not (X, developpement, multimedia, term tool, serveur, etc). Has this feature disappeared nowadays or did I miss a step during installation (USB key with Rufus)
My second question is that I am mainly looking for a distro that will include these servers natively (appache, MySQL, SSH, Python). Bonus if it can have full python module already installed and PHPMyAdmin installed. I know that all of this is relatively easy to install but I tell myself that there must be a distro that is focused on being a web server?
Thanks you so much!
