It is big, it is free and it can change your webdev's life

Another year have passed and another Vue.js Nation on-line conference is approaching.

I still remember my first baby steps with Vue. And then when Nuxt 3 was about to be released, and I hopped in just in time to live its raise. It's been quite a ride since then. Nuxt 3 was still in beta when I convinced my colleagues we should use it for our new project. And so we did and we succeeded. As of today, every request for pensions in Czechia is being administered in our Nuxt-powered frontend app.

Right now, I can't imagine building websites using anything else. Vue, its community and the vibrant and ever-evolving ecosystem built around its core is awesome. And I keep being amused how little attention it gets. It is easy to use, quick to learn and capable of doing everything React and Angular can do. Together with Nuxt and a couple of awesome modules it is even easier to build things in no time. Yet it keeps being overlooked, omitted from "Top X technologies to use this year" lists and many people seem like they haven't even heard of it yet.

If you haven't either, or don't know what to imagine and expect, Vue.js Nation is a perfect opportunity to give it a try. Unlike traditional conferences that collect admission and being paywalled even if online, Vue.js Nation is 100% free of any charge. The only price for that is you will see sponsor banners and hear their spots. But many of them are interesting and useful per se.

Anyways, the most important thing you'll see and hear are the talks. During the two 6-hour blocks in two days (afernoons/evenings in my longitude) some of the most prominent people from the Vue.js community will gather to give their talks. And the streams will be available later, so even if you can't make it live, you won't miss it.

I am already sure I want to hear Evan You, the creator of Vue, introducing the upcoming 3.6 version and the anticipated . Then there will be Michael Thiessen teaching more cool coding practices, Daniel Kelly, the great teacher from VueSchool, Eduardo San Martin Morote, the creator of Pinia state management library (it would save me countless hours if there was something like this in my previous Vaadin-based frontend project), and many more.

In fact, I am also looking for absolutely random new things I don't even know they exist and that I need them. Every conference is like that. Even if I consider myself being a proficient Vue.js developer, there are always new things to learn and explore.

There is just one drawback I can think about - no free food and drinks, which is always the best part of the on-site conferences. You'll have to supply yourself. But the good news is there are plenty of real life Vue events and meetups all around the world to attend once you get hooked.

Check Vue.js Nation conference HERE and reserve your virtual seat free of charge. Maybe the gamechanger for your future career is just a few clicks away!
