Microsoft and Google Could Hold 2018 Developer Conferences at the Same Time

The dates of Microsoft’s 2018 Build developer conference have just leaked, revealing something that’s a little bit unexpected: this year, the event overlaps with Google’s very own I/O.

Microsoft typically releases the official Build announcement with dates and tickets information in late December or early January, but this year the company has remained completely tight-lipped until now.

Twitter user @h0x0d, however, posted a teaser image revealing that Microsoft’s Build could take place between May 7 and May 9 this year in Seattle. These details do make sense given that Microsoft typically holds the developer conference in April or May, but they also reveal that in 2018, Redmond’s event opens its doors nearly at the same time as Google’s I/O.
