Laptop won’t switch to main monitor on start

Hey guys! Kinda new to this whole Linux thing. Currently I’m running a Rog Zephyrus g14 ga403uv with bazzite as my distro. My laptop currently has a bad display connector that I need to replace so in the meantime I have been using a external monitor with it, the only problem I’m having is when my laptop resets or sleeps it won’t recognize the monitor when turned on, the monitor will flash on like it’s receiving a signal but won’t display anything I then have to unplug the hdmi and plug it back in. Again sorry if this an easy fix but I’m trying 😭
