How do you download a YouTube video using Linux?

I currently use windows 10. I would like to switch to Linux.

Windows 10 is being discontinued in October and I really do not want to be forced into buying a whole new computer just so I can get Windows 11.

I am about to make the plunge and put Linux on my desktop computer. The only thing holding me back is the uncertainty over being able to download a youtube video or two every so often.

Currently, in windows, I use real player one to download a youtube video. It is very easy. It is just one click at the top of the screen. I also download videos from other places on the web here and there.

What program would I be able to use in Linux to be able to download a video here and there. Thank you.
