Getting Started in 4 Easy Steps

1. Clone https://github.com/schemacrawler/SchemaCrawler-MCP-Client-Usage




2. Start the Server
   
   

   docker-compose -f schemacrawler-mcpserver.yaml up -d

1. Verify It's Running
   
   Check server health at http://localhost:8080/health




2. Connect in VS Code
   
   The server is already configured in .vscode/mcp.json - just open VS Code and start asking questions!

Connect to Your Own Database

Want to use this with your own database? No problem!

1. 
   Stop the current server
   

   docker-compose -f schemacrawler-mcpserver.yaml down -t0

1. Edit the connection details
   
   Update schemacrawler-mcpserver.yaml with your database connection information




2. Restart the server
   
   

   docker-compose -f schemacrawler-mcpserver.yaml up -d
