Apple Announces New Ways to Build Intelligence into Your iPhone and iPad Apps

Apple announced on Tuesday the availability of the IBM Watson Services for its Core ML machine learning framework, helping iOS developers discover new ways to build intelligence into their apps.

Apple has partnered with IBM to offer IBM Watson Services to iOS app developers via Apple's Core ML machine learning framework. With this, Apple aims to help independent developers build smart iOS apps that keep getting smarter for iPhone and iPad devices.

Your apps will be able to leverage the Watson models, both online and offline, to instantly analyze images, train models, as well as to accurately classify visual content. The implementation also lets iOS developers use pre-trained Watson models or customize their own, which can evolve in time.
