Written, starring, and executive produced by Jason Momoa, "Chief of War" is a historical drama based on true events. The first two episodes of the nine-episode series will debut on Friday, August 1, with new episodes every Friday through September 19.
"Chief of War," described as a passion project from creators Jason Momoa and Thomas Pa'a Sibbett, follows the story of Ka'iana, a Native Hawaiian warrior played by Momoa. Set in the late 18th century, the series traces his efforts to unite the Hawaiian islands ahead of Western colonization.
