16gb [email protected] frozen VS. macbook air m2 8gb

Running Ubuntu Linux on my personal machine. Tried building a large project, clear the android studio cache and clean build the project which a macbook air with only 8gb of ram and no active cooling build it with ease. Take a look at the memory consumption, that is in the middle of the build wherein it is already starting the compilation. My machine literally froze and the system use 100% of the memory!

This is a Dell Precision laptop by the way, with Intel Core i5 1350P and 16gb [email protected].
