Hello.
I have that setup, in a compact case and fanless psu. It has standard windows media center IR remote with USB receiver. I've configured wake on USB in bios, so pressing power key on the remote turns PC on.
I want to re-use it as an simple IPTV client for my grandpa. I'm aware about KODI/XBMC/LibreElec and found them very complicated and confusing for a non-geek user - there are thousands of settings to be set-up, and if you accidentally press something wrong, you can mess up everything.
So what I want is:
Fastest loading system, no terminal windows, no login requests/etc.
Bulletproof user interface, with just 6 buttons on remote working: Power on/off, channel up, channel down, volume up, volume down, and "OK" button bringing up the channel list.
I will have pre-edited .m3u8 playlist, and nothing else required/needed.
So are there any specific linux distros or builds that can handle all that?
Thanks in advance.
