So, I have thought a lot about this and I'm not entirely sure what would be the best solution for my situation. I want to use Linux as my main desktop OS, but I also want to have Windows to play games smoothly at a competitive level. I came to the conclusion that the easiest way to achieve this would be two separate PCs with a KVM switch, because rebooting the PC to switch the OS every time is really annoying, I've already tried that. Running a virtual machine and playing a CPU-heavy game is also kinda counterproductive for gaming performance and I'd have to boot two OSs to only use one every time. So two PCs would be the best, but also the most expensive solution (about ~350€ + KVM). Maybe I could also upgrade my CPU, but I'd also need a new motherboard + RAM (rip) for that.
How do you handle that?
