iOS 26.2 focuses on practical changes that improve how you share, listen, track sleep, and manage daily tasks. The update stays centered on real use cases, not just visual polish. 1. AirDrop Codes for temporary sharing







Apple adds AirDrop Codes so you can share files without saving someone to your contacts. You generate a secure code and let the other person enter it on their device. After that, both phones connect for 30 days. This gives you control while keeping your list clean.



As a result, file sharing feels safer and more practical. You stay connected only when needed. Once the period ends, access stops automatically.

2. Urgent reminders with full alarms

3. Offline lyrics in Apple Music
