Professional : There was an all hands meeting at the start of the day. Responded to some community questions. Spent the rest of the day fine tuning the project using GitHub Codespaces. I've got the loading time down to about 2 minutes consistently. I cleaned up some terminal messages so things won't be so busy and distracting. I also show only the files needed for the project in the file explorer. Did some more niceties to the original application that creates the .zip file that is the input that will kick off the GitHub actions that creates the files that will be used in the Codespace. I did a lot of testing and I think I'm ready to have the other team start to use it for their part.
Personal : I tried a few things last night to fix the issues I'm having with this last 3D model I'm trying to print for a prototype to show a prospective client. I've tried all types of different shapes. Nothing really fits the way I want. I should really probably take an actual 3D modeling class at some point. haha Spent a bunch of time on that, so no coding, but I did pack what projects I'm going to pick up on Bandcamp this week. Oh, I also did some financial stuff. The small business life. haha Just thinking about it. I started the business at the start of the year, which means it's almost going to be a full year in business. I may not have released as many products as I wanted, but I've built up my abilities and equipment and have some good leads for the new year.
I think I may have figured out a way to fix this model. It's only really possible because of some new updates in Tinkercad. I'm going to try it out and hopefully it works. All this tinkering has really taught me a lot about 3D modeling. I'm not going to be opening up Blender and starting from scratch anytime soon, haha, but I'm starting to really put things together and can create better models than I was able to at the beginning of the year. Going to try that out. Maybe do some coding. I'd like to get the social media posts ready for the projects I'm picking up on Bandcamp so I can get that out of the way and maybe some radio show works, so I can focus on 3D printing and my business over the Thanksgiving break. We'll see. About to eat dinner.
