Access Desktop Securely While Using IVPN

Hello ComputerSecurity,

My occupation requires the processing and management of large videos (86GB each). I process and backup these files at home, but want to be able to sync output documents and monitor progress while away from my machine.

I want to be able to do this while having both machines connected through IVPN and have my identity remain private. Is there a best way to tackle this issue? Currently I am using AiCloud with Asus DDNS, but I feel that this option is both clunky and insecure.

I can handle difficult setups as long as I am pointed in the right direction. Thank you in advanced for your help I appreciate it!
