As 2026 begins, I took time to reflect on my journey.
Looking back, 2025 was one of the most challenging years of my life—personally and professionally. It pushed me to question my decisions, my pace, and my understanding of growth.
Yet, those challenges reshaped me.

Where It All Started
My professional journey began in December 2019, during my 7th semester of college. Balancing academic responsibilities with a job in software development was demanding, but I chose to start as an intern in software development and focus on learning.
The belief that learning must come before earning became the foundation of my career. That mindset helped me grow steadily, building skills that extended beyond technical knowledge.
Over the next 5.5 years, I worked continuously in the software industry, gaining experience, responsibility, and confidence.
The Decision to Pause
In September 2025, due to personal circumstances, I made a difficult but necessary decision—to take a career break.
It was not an easy choice. I had financial planning in place, but more importantly, I felt the need to pause and reassess my direction.
My workdays often stretched to 10 hours, and the remaining time was devoted to family. I believe deeply that success means little if it comes at the cost of family and mental well-being.
This break gave me space—space to think, to breathe, and to realign.
Rethinking “Being Busy”
For a long time, I believed being busy meant growing.
But I learned that being busy does not always mean upskilling.
Repetitive tasks, staying in the same environment, and constant pressure can quietly limit growth. True learning requires curiosity, exposure, and mental clarity.
Sometimes, stepping away from office politics, rigid routines, and unhealthy pressure is the first step toward real progress.
How the Break Changed Me
During my career break, I focused on purposeful growth:
Exploring AI and emerging technologies
Staying current with evolving industry trends
Strengthening my communication and professional presence
Reflecting on the kind of professional—and person—I want to become
This period was less about speed and more about depth.
