Migration from Apple + windows

I started my migration from windows a while ago, centralised on Apple as “easy Linux” but I still have a windows PC for games though I am strongly considering the Steam PC when it comes out, as my PC has an Nvidia card, not AMD.

I use Ubuntu Linux from time to time for work and recently spun up a really stripped back xbuntu and found it ok to use, not great but simple and bloat free.

I am totally in on the Apple ecosystem though; iPhone, MacBook Pro, Apple TV, iPad, HomePods….. i do have a synology NAS though and a Microsoft email account and use PLEX as a home media server, but not for music - that’s Apple Music. I also use parallels on the Mac for VMs and already use libreoffice.

If I was to unpick all of this, what would be some recommendations for my entire ecosystem? I think I’m stuffed on the phone but everything else is up for grabs, but unfortunately the MacBook Pro is an excellent laptop too and I’d struggle with an x86 one I think… though I’ve always liked the Lenovo carbon black laptops.

My only rules are:

• Avoid US centric products where possible - UK or European
• Try to replicate the ease of use of the Apple ecosystem best I can
